Marquise Granulated Neckpiece
Made using granulation in Argentium Silver this delicate neckpiece captures a multitude of highlights and shaddows on each of the granules and the light dances across the surface as it is being worn.
The hidden clasp also acts as a saftey catch as the wire is fed through the frame before securing, meaning it would not come off even if the clasp is undone by accident.
Dimensions – 13cm dia when round. 44cm x 0.8cm x 0.4mm

Many years ago I spent a whole day in the MET gallery in New York looking at the amazing jewellery of the ancient Mesopotanians from 4000 years ago and Etruscians who used this technique over 2500 years ago. It sparked an interest which has endured to this day.
