Monday Morning Class
In this fun morning class at Coburg House Art Studios you will have the opportunity of learning the basics of jewellery making including saw-piercing, soldering, texturing, forming and chain making. Suitable for complete beginners or students who want to develop their skills or work on a specific project. You will come up with ideas for your own personal project with advice from me and then be shown any additional techniques relevant to your project. The class will be limited to 5 students which is ideal for getting lots of one to one help and top tips. I have almost 20 years of teaching experience and love problem solving to help you create your perfect piece.
Corporate Jewellery Workshops
A fun and unique alternative to Whisky or Gin Tastings. I can offer different styles of workshops to cater for different sizes of groups. I can bring along a selection of work and give a presentation based on my work for large groups, or create bespoke jewellery making sessions for smaller groups of corporate clients. I have previously organised jewellery workshops for clients such as Visit Scotland and Reel-Time Events. Please see my brochure here and contact me for further details or a personalised quote.
Private Tuition
I offer one-to-one tuition in my studio with the student receiving a personal lesson tailored to their own needs. Starting from very basic techniques such as saw-piercing sheet metal and learning how to solder, students can progress to more complicated techniques such as bezel setting stones. I have had students who have made some jewellery in the past but would like to learn a new specific technique, or would just like to finish off some previous projects. I have also had students who just want a bit of advice on how to improve pieces to take them to the next step of selling to the public. If this is something which you are interested in then please contact me for more details.
Jewellery Experience Days
I am now offering the opportunity for you and a group of your friends to come along to the workshop and have a wonderful day of jewellery making. This is suitable for up to 5 people. You can arrange a date and time to suit you and your friends, and even specify how long you would like the workshop to run for, or what type of jewellery you would like to make. Prices start from £35 per person for a 1 hour Incorporating Pearls workshop. Please contact me for further details and a quote based on your requests.

Introduction to Fold Forming
Sunday 28th September 2025 - Dunblane
Join us for an energetic introduction to fold forming with award-winning jeweller Jenny Deans. Fold forming is a metalworking technique where metal is folded, hammered, and forged to create intricate sculptural forms. This process uses the metal’s natural flexibility to form complex, organic structures, often resembling leaves, flowers, or other natural forms. It allows for creating unique textures and patterns without extensive soldering or complex tools. By folding and working the metal, you can produce a wide variety of artistic and functional pieces, from jewellery to small vessels.
This class is perfect for both beginners and experienced jewellers.
Techniques covered:
Creating straight and curved folds in copper
Hammering or rolling straight folds to form creases in the metal
Forging edges to form organic, leaf-like structures
Exploring curved folds combined with roll-printed textures.
