The Linear Graduated Granule Earrings explore balance, rhythm, and the expressive potential of simplicity. Each earring is formed from a sequence of graduated granules, hand-fused in Argentium silver to create a flowing vertical line that catches the light with subtle texture and depth.
This design reflects my enduring fascination with the ancient art of granulation, a technique practiced by Mesopotamian and Etruscan goldsmiths thousands of years ago. Reinterpreted in a contemporary form, the result is a pair of earrings that feel timeless and modern, sculptural yet effortless to wear.
Each piece is made by hand in my Edinburgh studio from Argentium silver, a bright, hypoallergenic, and highly tarnish-resistant metal sourced from recycled precious silver. Designed for comfort and balance, these earrings transition easily from day to evening.
