The design is built from parallel silver wires arranged in a repeating pattern of plain round wire and twisted herringbone texture. The layout moves from round wire to herringbone, then to a smooth central round wire, followed by another herringbone section and a final round wire at the outer edge. The effect is a rhythmic, linear pattern that feels both structured and fluid, echoing the twisted wire techniques seen in historic Egyptian pieces.
Each wire is shaped, arranged and soldered by hand in my Edinburgh studio. The contrast between the smooth round wires and the detailed herringbone texture creates a balanced, refined profile that is comfortable to wear and easy to pair with other jewellery. Crafted in sterling silver, the ring has a bright polished finish and a modern yet timeless character.
