Inspired by the twisted wire patterns seen throughout ancient Egyptian jewellery, this wider version uses heavier wire to create a ring with more presence while keeping the refined detailing of the original design.
The band is shaped from a rhythm of smooth round silver and textured herringbone sections, arranged to create a strong linear pattern that flows around the finger. The wider proportions give the ring a sculptural character that suits anyone drawn to jewellery with a little more substance, without feeling heavy or uncomfortable to wear.
Each element is formed and soldered by hand in my Edinburgh studio. The contrast between the smooth and twisted textures creates a balanced structure, and the polished sterling silver finish brings a clean, bright look that works beautifully for everyday wear.
