The Linear Teardrop Pendant explores the relationship between simplicity and texture. Its clean outline is softened by a line of granules fused by heat alone, creating a refined contrast between smooth and tactile surfaces.
The design reflects my ongoing fascination with the ancient art of granulation, a technique first practiced by Mesopotamian and Etruscan goldsmiths thousands of years ago. Reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, this pendant embodies the harmony between history, craftsmanship, and modern design.
Each piece is made by hand in my Edinburgh studio using Argentium silver, a bright and highly tarnish-resistant metal that is hypoallergenic and responsibly sourced from recycled precious silver.
