The Spiral Granulated Pendant captures my love of play and curiosity in metal. Formed from fine Argentium silver granules fused by heat alone, the design follows a soft spiral that draws the eye inward, echoing patterns found in nature and the continuity of making by hand.
My fascination with ancient metalwork began years ago during a visit to the MET gallery in New York, where I was captivated by the jewellery of the Mesopotamians and Etruscans. Their mastery of granulation inspired me to explore this technique within my own work, blending historic process with contemporary form.
Each pendant is handcrafted in my Edinburgh studio from Argentium silver, a bright, hypoallergenic, and highly tarnish-resistant metal sourced from recycled precious silver. The result is a pendant that feels light and tactile while carrying depth and quiet strength.
Every piece carries a full Edinburgh Assay Office Hallmark, a mark of authenticity and assurance of quality that reflects a proud tradition of British craftsmanship.
